This page explains how Roam Rehab & Strength ("Roam Rehab," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and discloses personal information; the terms that apply when you use this website; and important limitations on the health information and educational materials we provide.

Roam Rehab & Strength is owned and operated by Devan Tessolini, MScPT, a physical therapist licensed in British Columbia and regulated by the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC).

Our commitment to privacy

We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), applicable federal privacy law, and the professional obligations established by College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC).

We collect, use, and disclose personal information only for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances. We limit collection to the information reasonably necessary for the identified purpose and obtain consent unless collection, use, or disclosure is otherwise authorized or required by law.

Information we may collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • contact information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, and mailing or billing address;

  • information you submit when you contact us, join a mailing list, make an inquiry, create an account, or purchase a product or course;

  • transaction information, such as products purchased, payment status, receipts, and refund information;

  • technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referral source, and interactions with the website;

  • communication preferences and records of consent; and

  • health and appointment information that you choose to provide through our designated clinical systems, including Jane.

Please do not send detailed medical or health information through ordinary email, website contact forms, social media, or other channels that are not identified as secure clinical communication methods. Use Jane or another method specifically directed by Roam Rehab for appointment and clinical information.

How we collect information

We may collect information:

  • directly from you when you contact us, subscribe, register, complete a form, or make a purchase;

  • through Jane when you book an appointment, complete intake or consent forms, communicate about care, or make a clinical payment;

  • automatically through the website and related technologies, such as cookies, pixels, analytics tools, server logs, and embedded content; and

  • from service providers that help us operate the website, process payments, deliver courses, send communications, or administer our services.

Why we use personal information

We may use personal information to:

  • respond to questions and provide requested information;

  • schedule, administer, and document physiotherapy services;

  • process payments, issue receipts, and maintain business and financial records;

  • create and administer customer or course accounts;

  • deliver purchased products, courses, videos, downloads, and related support;

  • send service-related notices, including appointment, account, purchase, security, and policy messages;

  • send marketing communications where we have consent or are otherwise permitted by law;

  • operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and our services;

  • understand website use and evaluate the effectiveness of our communications; and

  • meet legal, regulatory, insurance, accounting, professional, and risk-management obligations.

We will seek new consent before using personal information for a materially different purpose unless the new use is authorized or required by law.

Jane and clinical information

Appointment booking and patient information are handled through Jane. Learn more about how Jane protects patient data.

Roam Rehab remains responsible for personal information under its control. Clinical information collected for physiotherapy is used and retained as part of the patient record and is handled in accordance with applicable law and CHCPBC requirements. A complete patient record is retained for at least 16 years after the last patient encounter, or for a minor, 16 years after the patient reaches the age of majority, whichever date is later.

Using the website, buying a general educational product, or joining an email list does not by itself create a patient record or a physiotherapist–patient relationship.

Website platform, service providers, and information outside Canada

Our website is hosted through Squarespace. We may also use service providers for booking and clinical practice management, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, video hosting, course delivery, file storage, security, and technical support. Current or future providers may include Jane, Squarespace, payment processors, and embedded media providers such as YouTube.

These providers may collect or process information on our behalf or under their own terms. Some providers or their systems may be located outside British Columbia or Canada. As a result, information may be stored or processed in another jurisdiction and may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement bodies, or government authorities under that jurisdiction’s laws.

We disclose only the information reasonably required for a provider to perform its services and use reasonable contractual, administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect information under our control.

Cookies, analytics, and embedded content

The website may use essential cookies needed for functions such as security, navigation, accounts, checkout, and saved preferences. If enabled, we may also use analytics or marketing technologies to understand website traffic and improve our services.

Embedded content, including videos, maps, booking tools, or social media features, may allow the third-party provider to receive technical information and place cookies or similar technologies.   • when reasonably necessary to protect a person's safety, our legal rights, or the security of our systems; or

  • in connection with a proposed or completed business transaction, subject to applicable privacy safeguards.

We do not sell personal information.

Safeguards and privacy breaches

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No website, email service, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

If a privacy breach occurs, we will take reasonable steps to contain it, investigate it, reduce the risk of recurrence, and provide any notification or reporting required by applicable law and professional standards.

Retention and disposal

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet legal, regulatory, professional, insurance, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution requirements. Clinical records are retained for the period described above. When information is no longer required, we securely delete, destroy, or anonymize it, subject to technical and legal limitations.

Accessing or correcting your information

You may request access to personal information under our control or ask that inaccurate or incomplete information be corrected. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Access may be limited where permitted or required by law, including where disclosure would reveal another person's information or create a significant risk of harm.

Requests relating to patient records will be handled in accordance with privacy law and CHCPBC requirements. We aim to provide or facilitate access for viewing or correction within 30 business days after receiving a valid request, subject to lawful exceptions.

Withdrawing consent

You may withdraw consent to a particular use or disclosure of your personal information, subject to legal, professional, contractual, and reasonable notice restrictions. Withdrawal will not affect uses or disclosures already lawfully made. In some cases, withdrawing consent may mean that we cannot provide a requested service or website function.

Children and youth

This website and any general online products are not directed to children who are too young to enter into the applicable transaction on their own. A parent or legal guardian should make purchases for a minor unless the minor is legally able to do so. This does not replace the consent rules that apply to healthcare for minors in British Columbia; consent to physiotherapy is addressed separately as part of the clinical process.

Public website content—including articles, videos, exercise demonstrations, social media posts, emails, downloads, and general online courses—is provided for general educational and informational purposes. It is not individualized physiotherapy, medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for an assessment by an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Information on this website may not be suitable for your circumstances. Health status, pregnancy or postpartum status, medications, injuries, symptoms, environment, equipment, and other individual factors can affect whether an activity is appropriate.

No therapeutic relationship through website use

Viewing this website, sending an inquiry, subscribing to emails, purchasing a general educational product, or accessing public or self-directed course material does not create a physiotherapist–patient relationship with Devan Tessolini or Roam Rehab. A therapeutic relationship is established only when Roam Rehab expressly accepts you as a patient and the appropriate clinical consent, assessment, and care process has begun.

Exercise and movement safety

Movement and exercise involve risk. Before starting a new activity or program, consider whether you should consult a physician, physical therapist, or other qualified healthcare professional who can assess your individual needs.

Stop an activity and seek appropriate professional advice if it causes pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, loss of balance, unexpected symptoms, or worsening symptoms. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or seek emergency care. Do not use the website, email, or course messaging for urgent or emergency concerns.

No guarantees

Outcomes differ from person to person. Roam Rehab and Devan Tessolini do not promise or guarantee that website information, an exercise, a product, a course, or a physiotherapy service will produce a particular result. Any discussion of potential benefits is intended to support informed decision-making and should not be understood as a guarantee.

Professional regulation and scope

Devan Tessolini is responsible for ensuring that representations about regulated physiotherapy services are accurate, verifiable, evidence-informed, within scope of practice, and consistent with CHCPBC requirements.

Where Roam Rehab offers a self-directed course or another service that is educational rather than regulated patient care, the product page will identify that distinction. Devan's licensed status will not be presented as converting a non-regulated educational product into individualized physiotherapy care. Recommendations made within a therapeutic relationship may differ from general website or course content.

Links and embedded content are provided for convenience. Roam Rehab does not control every third-party website, platform, policy, or service and does not guarantee its availability, security, accuracy, or suitability. Online Courses & Digital Products

The following terms apply when Roam Rehab offers an online course, membership, video library, download, or other digital product. The product description and checkout terms form part of your purchase agreement. If product-specific terms conflict with this page, the term that is more favourable to the consumer will apply where required by law.

Information provided before purchase

Before you complete a purchase, the product page and checkout will identify, as applicable:

  • the legal supplier and business name;

  • a detailed description of the product or service, including relevant technical requirements;

  • what is included and excluded;

  • when and how access begins and, if applicable, when access ends;

  • the itemized price, taxes, currency, payment schedule, and total price;

  • any conditions, limitations, renewal terms, or promotional terms;

  • the cancellation, return, exchange, and refund policy; and

  • contact information for purchase questions or cancellation notices.

You will have an opportunity to review the purchase, correct errors, and accept or decline the agreement before payment. A copy of the applicable agreement or purchase confirmation will be provided in a form you can retain.

Access and account security

Course access is for the purchaser or authorized participant only. You are responsible for keeping login details confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

Unless the product page says otherwise, access begins when login or delivery instructions are sent to the email address used at checkout. Internet service and a compatible device, browser, and any listed software are your responsibility.

Unlisted or embedded videos and course links are not public invitations to share the content. You must not share links, credentials, downloads, or recordings outside the access granted with your purchase.

Payments, refunds, and statutory rights

Prices, currency, taxes, payment timing, access period, and the product-specific refund policy will be displayed before purchase. Unless a product page provides a more generous policy, digital-course purchases are non-refundable once access has been delivered, except where a refund or cancellation right is required by law or the product is materially not supplied as agreed.

Nothing in these terms removes rights available under British Columbia's Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act or other applicable consumer-protection law. Where legislation gives you a cancellation or refund right, that right prevails over a conflicting term on this page.

Course participation

General courses are self-directed educational products unless the product page expressly states that an individualized clinical service is included. Course questions, comments, community participation, or automated feedback do not create a therapeutic relationship or amount to an individualized assessment.

You are responsible for deciding whether to participate and for obtaining individualized professional advice when needed. Roam Rehab may suspend access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security threats, unlawful conduct, harassment, infringement, or material breach of these terms. Where required by consumer law, suspension or termination will not affect applicable refund or cancellation rights.

Updates and discontinuation

We may make reasonable updates that do not materially reduce the product purchased. If a material feature is discontinued or access cannot be supplied as promised, we will provide the remedy required by the purchase terms and applicable law.

Changes to This Page

We may update this page to reflect changes to our services, technology, providers, legal obligations, or professional standards. The updated version will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by law.
